On June 14, 1993, my father and I opened a little breakfast and lunch café with the help of our family, friends, and my adorable and supportive 18-year-old girlfriend….
20 years and about a million eggs later, Ray’s Café has two locations where we have had the privilege of, not only serving food to our community’s friends and families, but also creating countless memories with them.
Our original Sea Girt location has been a fixture in the community for the past 20 years, while our Spring Lake family has quickly made our 3rd Avenue restaurant one of the places to be at the Jersey Shore.
Our reputation among Jersey Shore locals and visitors alike, for both our food and our service, is one that we relish and take great pride in. Our wait staff is helpful and friendly, providing a comfortable atmosphere for everyone, whether you want to host a special occasion with us, or simply sit down and enjoy a meal with family or friends.
My father and I simply wanted to open a breakfast-lunch bistro where people could bring their families and feel at home. After 20 years, our dreams have come true thanks to my still-adorable and supportive wife, the Mulligan family, and everyone who either frequents Ray’s Café or who only visits us once in a while. No matter who you are, we’re glad you came, and we hope we made you feel at home because, after all, that’s been the whole point for the past 20 years…and the next 20….
