In many people’s minds, Labor Day marks the unofficial end to the New Jersey beach season. Locals know that’s when the best start of Summer REALLY begins (not to mention Autumn doesn’t officially begin until the 20th)! Continue reading to see our top-5 #LocalSummer benefits:
#LocalSummer officially starts the day after Labor Day. The “Bennies” leave the shore and only us locals are left behind to enjoy the great benefits of living near a beach. Enjoy stress free driving, parking and wide-open beaches.
While some beaches may charge for access for a few select days or weekends after Labor Day, for the most part you should have no trouble finding badge-free beach access! Most Jersey Shore beaches operate between Memorial Day & Labor Day full time. Just make sure you are being careful, Lifeguards are generally off-duty after this time.
BETTER WEATHER = MORE RELAXATION
September brings less humid weather and fairer temperatures that make lounging on the beach even more enjoyable than the dog days of Summer. Simply put, you are no longer heading to the beach to keep cool, but to truly relax.
Water temperatures are usually warmer during this time of year!
